On September 21, 2022, Officers with the Monroe Police Department HEAT team conducted a narcotic investigation at 2705 Point Drive in Monroe. The investigation led to the HEAT team obtaining a search warrant for the residence. The search produced methamphetamine, approximately one pound of marijuana, and 19 firearms ranging from rifles to handguns. Richard Moncrief and Tommie Blount were arrested from narcotics and weapons charges.
On September 22, 2022, Officers conducted a narcotics investigation at 1101 Richwood Road #2 apartment 62. HEAT Officers obtained a search warrant for the apartment which produced several ounces of PCP (phencyclidine), powder and crack cocaine, approximately 1000 ecstasy pills, Xanax, Hydrocodone, Suboxone, and Fentanyl. A 9mm pistol was also recovered. Demario Ford and Joseph Jones were arrested for weapons and narcotics charges. Ford has at least two prior felony convictions that prevent him from legally possessing a firearm.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
