PRESS RELEASES

MPD’s Newest Officers

The Monroe Police Department would like to welcome our newest six officers. Today marked the 1st day of the 150th class of the North Delta Training Academy. Our officers will spend the next eighteen-weeks at the police academy. Some of their training will consist of firearm, legal, defensive tactics, and driving. The police academy is both physically and academically demanding. At the completion of the police academy, officers will then receive an additional fourteen-weeks of field training. After successfully completing the field training program, officers will finally be able to patrol by themselves.

If you’d like to be apart of the 151st class of the North Delta Training Academy, the Monroe Police Department is currently accepting applications. For a great career in law enforcement and to be apart of the Monroe Police Department family, please join our team.
