Shortly after 7:00am on May 24,2022 Monroe Police Department Patrol Team B officers responded to a disturbance at 5602 Desiard lot 79, the Aurora Trailer Park. Officers contacted the suspect, Xzavier Carroll, and discovered a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence. Carroll became belligerent when officers were checking on a female that was involved in the incident.
Carroll attempted to flee the scene on foot but was taken into custody without further incident.
Members of the Monroe Police Department HEAT Team arrived to assist in the investigation and a search warrant was obtained for the residence. Officers located 7.6 pounds of marijuana, 2 pounds of Edible marijuana products, 13.8 oz of mojo (synthetic marijuana), and 42 oxycodone pills. An AR-15 rifle was also recovered.
Carroll was arrested for 3 counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS-I, Resisting an Officer, Interfering with a Law Enforcement Investigation, Possession+ with Intent to Distribute CDS-II, and Illegal carrying of a weapon.
Carroll has several prior arrests which include the following:
- April 2022- Reckless Operation, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things.
- June 2021-Illegal Carrying of a Weapon(presence of Narcotics), Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS-I, Obscured window, Drug Paraphernalia.
- June 2020-Speeding,Aggravated Flight from an Officer, No Driver’s License, Hit and Run, Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS-I, DWI.
- January 2019-Loitering, Possession of CDS without Prescription.
