Monroe Police arrest 3 juveniles for Burglary

At approximately 2:00 A.M. on June 7, 2022, Monroe Police Department Team D Patrol Officers observed a blue Dodge Charger near the intersection of Forsythe and North 18th Street in Monroe. The vehicle was suspected of being used to commit vehicle burglaries in the area. As Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, a short pursuit ensued that ended up with the suspect vehicle losing control and crashing in the ditch near the Lexington Avenue and Matthew Steet. At least 4 suspects ran from the vehicle, one of which was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Two additional suspects were taken into custody approximately 30 minutes later. Two 17-year-old suspects and a 12-year-old suspect were all booked for one count of Vehicle burglary at Green Oaks Detention Center. It is believed that the suspects are responsible for several other recent vehicle burglaries in the area. Additional charges are pending.
