Monroe Police Department Respond to Overnight Shooting

Shortly after 1:00am on July 30,2022, officers with the Monroe Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of Peach Street in Monroe.

The initial investigation showed that more than one suspect approached a group of individuals standing outside of an apartment. The suspects then fired several rounds striking four people.

Officers located two victims at the scene and two others at a local hospital. One of the victims, 18-year-old Jesstavioun Moore died because of his injuries. The other victims were treated for their wounds.

Detectives were called to the scene and are actively working the case.

A reward up to $2000 can be awarded for information leading to the arrest of the suspects responsible for this shooting. All calls to Crimestoppers are confidential.
