Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on August 19th, 2022, officers responded to the 700 block of Matthew Street in Monroe in reference to a shooting.
Officers located two victims suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives were called to the scene and determined that the incident was isolated between two groups of individuals that were personally known to each other. 17-year-old De’quris Lawrence has been established as the suspect. Lawrence is currently wanted for attempted second degree murder as well burglary charges stemming from a prior incident.
