Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on June 24th 2022 officers of the Monroe Police Department responded to the 4200 block of loop Road in reference to a shooting complaint.
Officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital where one was treated for non-life-threatening wounds and the other has died.
Responding officers were able to take a person of interest into custody close to the scene without incident.
Detectives were called and are actively working the investigation. More details will be available as the case progresses.
