Shortly after 7:30p.m. on October 3, 2022, The Monroe Police Department responded to the 7900 block of Desiard Street in reference to a hit and run crash. The initial investigation showed that a victim was traveling east on Desiard Street operating a motorized bicycle when he was struck by a 2010 to 2013 black Toyota Tundra. The adult male victim on the bike died as a result of their injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
