Monroe Police HEAT Team Make Narcotics & Weapons Arrests

On September 7, 2022, at approximately 12:00p.m. Officers with the Monroe Police Department HEAT team investigated a narcotics complaint at 1101 Richwood Rd #2 Apt. 60 which led to a search warrant being obtained for the apartment. The search yielded approximately 2 ounces of PCP and 4 ounces of marijuana. Joshua Sellers and Crystal Profit were booked at the Ouachita Correctional Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS-I, CDS-II, and CDS in Presence of Persons under 17 YOA.

At approximately 8:00p.m. on September 7,2022, HEAT team Officers made a traffic stop in the 700 block of Wilson Street where they contacted the driver, Simeon Jackson. During the investigation, a stolen Glock 17 9mm from West Monroe was recovered. Jackson was booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center for traffic charges and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Later in the evening at approximately 11:00p.m. HEAT team officers conducted a search warrant at 405 Columbia Avenue in Monroe after a lengthy narcotics investigation. Approximately 13 pounds of marijuana, 3 ounces of Promethazine, and 2 ecstasy pills were recovered. Also located was a Taurus 9mm and two .223 pistols. Shakya Carroll and Quinterious Collins were arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS-I, CDS-II, Distribution of Legend Drugs, Illegal carrying of Weapons(presence of narcotics), and CDS in Presence of Persons under 17 YOA.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
