Monroe Police Hosts Basic SWAT School

Throughout the past week, the Monroe Police Department hosted a basic SWAT school for officers from our department and surrounding agencies.

These Officers were trained in tactical entries, room clearing, hostage rescues, and vehicle assaults.  Officers also received certifications with less lethal devices and chemical agents.

Like most departments,  Members of the Monroe Police Department SWAT team are trained to handle the toughest, most stressful situations that may arise.

Congratulations to the new Operators that successfully passed the school.
